INEVITABLE

Fantasies, Illusions, Make-Believes.

Since young, fairytale stories put me to bed. Mommy never told me how life is like. She only taught me how to be truthful and to follow my heart. I remember asking my mommy "what if my heart tells me to lie?" "Tell the truth with love, girl." She replied.

I've never found difficulties telling the truth, giving outright honest opinions when i was younger. Especially when everything is either "Right", or "Wrong". But then again as I grew up, I realised that there are other options like "What If", "Maybe", "Probably". Everything inevitably became more complicated as we grew older.

Society is brutally realistic. They condem, they judge ruthlessly, they put you down without limits. Living in this society is no doubt tough. But everyone has to marshal their motivation to live on. No matter what happens, life goes on, yes? We've been deceived since young that if we worked hard now, we'd enjoy later.

The horrible uncovered truth that everyone is aware of is that if you work hard now, you got to work harder. You have to maintain your grades, your job, your position etc. There is no simple way out. Amidst all the tall and congested buildings in Singapore lies hard work, indestructible determination. You fall out of it, you lose out. Welcome to reality.
